What impact do you think the devaluing of muscle strength has on society?

Physical strength is not as important for males today as it was in past times. The nature of work has changed so that not as many jobs require stamina or physical strength. What impact do you think this devaluing of muscle strength has on society? What attitudes or values could be affected?

and yet humans are significantly bigger than they were in even the past 100 years due to the increased amounts of hormones in the food they eat. I think that muscle strength is not the issue. People in the past were not going to the gym everyday, they were shoveling manure and digging ditches. If there was a collapse of civiliztion and we had to revert to those times we could easily. People will always be able to dig ditches… just now we would be debating pop culture while doing it, but they did that then too.
