Today was my first day on the very low calorie diet portion of the homeopathic HCG diet. I’m not going to lie to you; it was really tough. I don’t think I took in enough water. But that’s something that I’m just going to have to keep working on.

When I weighed myself first thing this morning I was up one pound. That left me at 171 pounds. My weight always goes back and forth a bit so it didn’t surprise me; especially since I’ve been “loading” for the last 2 days. After I weighed myself I took my HCG drops along with the B-Total drops I bought to go along with the diet. First thing I did was set the kids up with an after Thanksgiving day feast. I had to get rid of all the leftovers that I wasn’t going to be able to touch. I tossed everything they didn’t eat. That was a relief because having it around would have definitely killed any attempts I had at dieting.

Then I had some water. I tried to like some herbal tea. I even tried sweetening it with Vanilla Creme Stevia which sounded pretty good. But I didn’t like it very much. I’m going to try some different flavors and see if I can come up with anything that I can get attached to. I’ve never been a tea or herbal tea drinker so it’s kind of a big stretch for me. We’ll see how that goes. For today I just kept drinking water. I figure that was always a good idea since a lot of the homeopathic HCG reviews indicate that not getting enough water can be a big problem and a lot of people make that simple mistake.

Even with all my water drinking I was starving by the time I thought about preparing lunch. I definitely need to think about preparing lunch sooner from now on. I practically ate it out of the pan. I didn’t even take the time to put it on a pretty plate. In the midst of my desperation I also had to make the kids something to eat. They’re home from school for the holiday and they wanted grilled cheese. It smelled awesome; all that butter and cheese.

But I didn’t eat their lunch; I ate my own. It was romaine lettuce with tomatoes, chicken grilled on top of the stove with the use of non-stick spray and Creole seasoning. And I had strawberries on the side. The Creole seasoning was terrific.

Lisa (my HCG dieting buddy/competitor) came over for dinner. We had Shake and Bake Tilapia. We got the recipe from the HCG Diet Direct Cookbook and it was really good. Even the dinner guests who aren’t on HCG were loving the fish. Amidst the yummy HCG approved foods I was able to successfully maneuver so that I got the HCG drops in as required and I took my B-Total Sublingual in the morning. I’m giving myself an A for Day 3.

With HCG Diet Direct she’s found a program that allows her to combine her desire to control her own body weight with her education and not feel off balance.
