@m43str0s really, ever see jay cutlers video? he trains twice sometimes 3- 4 times a day. for 3 hours or more. the stoiroid use increases testosterone in the body and aids recovery they can train for longer than us non users who will suffer fro cortisol in the system after an hour which is counter productive to muscle building. train the dorian yates way 4 times a week. i’m npt codoning trainig 3 times a day just making the point that some of them do train like this

@Chad01234 everything is the same except for the following
the first routine he recommends for beginners to acclimate themselves before starting the real routine, he recommends one to do it 5 days in a row and stop for two days…then you can start regular training
the second routine is the regular training except for the HUGE difference in frequency, he recommends to do 1 workout and rest 4 days, then the next workout and so on. as you progress ADD more rest days.

You still believe in this nonsense? Come on …

Completely different advice from his final theory on bodybuilding.

@PlancksTime thats stupid, 4-5 hour a day working out is a waste of time, NONE of the pro’s workout so long (and they are even on high doses of testosteron/tren etc). Their recuperation is much quicker than a natural person because of the hormones. Arnold was famous for his high dosages of dianabol and primobolan, they ofcourse help with recovery, but when arnold stated he did 4-5 hours of training, he did not mention it was heavy weight training only. they used to do alot of cardio/abs too..

@mytemoful where did you get this info…? That he ruined himself with crazy heavy duty.if anything should be called crazy it would be working out 3 to 4hours a day and getting no where.

@mohammad112388 Dorian Yates thanked MM after accepting the Sandow with his win at the podium.

Heavy Duty works 100% of the time…if you’re mike or rey mentzer
October 17th, 2010 at 1:26 pm
If you read Mike Mentzer’s HIT publication; it states that genetics play a factor, so there are outliers like Arnold, or any top 10 bodybuilder of today, where they can train with great volume and frequency and still get great results (for Sergio Oliva… he could get huge no matter what type of routine he did). For the rest of us, hardgainers, mike’s advice really hits home stressing maximum intensity and maximum recovery times. I’ve been getting great gains on his methods.

to each there own, if it builds muscle, it makes sense
October 17th, 2010 at 1:42 pm
Are you guys telling me that Arnold’s method of training which is basically grind out 4-5 hours of weight training, 10-15 sets per body part, every day doesn’t work?
Shut the fuck up and go see Arnold’s photos again.

October 17th, 2010 at 3:17 pm

@Gilligan346 Mike loved machines. He saw no difference between using a free weight or a machine. Plus he worked with Arthur Jones early in his career, the Nautilus inventor.
His usually pat answer when people asked him why he favored machines over free weights was sort of like this: you drove a machine here? a car. what is wrong with machines? we live in the industrial age, machines are another tool to use in bodybuilding….Something akin to that

Choose an exercise, like srugs, and do it slowly, only 2-3 sets, the second and third to complete failure.Slowly and stay up like he did.ANd u tell me.
October 17th, 2010 at 5:19 pm
@mohammad112388 No man.i have watch an interview with yates that he said “high intensity training is still the best way to train”.A video with dorian’s training Proves that he is a heavy duty trainer, although he do more sets. But with steroids u can do more sets without onertraining yourself, right?
October 17th, 2010 at 5:25 pm
@daltonreigns
Dorian Yates taught himself. Mike Mentzer never coached Dorian, and Dorian actually gets offended when people say that because he worked out with Mike 1 time, and then rumors fluttered that Mike trained Dorian, but its false.
