How can I reduce muscle pain so I can perform like Lance Armstrong?

Lance’s muscles don’t hurt when he pushes them to the limit, like normal people’s muscles do – that’s why he owned everyone at the Tour de France. So short of changing my DNA, is there a way to reduce this natural muscle pain?

There are ways to reduce the pain. Unfortunately, they’re illegal.

Learn to pedal at a high cadence 70-90 rpm’s with a lite pressure on the pedals. Lance pedals up to 120 rpm’s. Pedaling at a low rpm and mashing down on the pedals will use your fast twitch muscles that will cause lactic acid build up and is hard on the knees.

Lance did NOT hurt less. He just managed his pain better. He knew how much pain he could take. The same was true of Greg LeMond. Read Armstrong’s book “It’s Not About The Bike.”
Watch cycling on VS network. You will hear every time how much pain these men and women go through.
And yes, everything that kills pain is illegal.
By the way, Lance has some of the biggest lungs in this world. He also had a resting heart rate in the low 30s.

When pushed to the extreme, everybody hurts, the ones who do best are the ones who deal with the pain best. Natural ability does come into this of course, it’s up to you to do the best with what you have been given.
