Interesting that I saw this today. Never had a stretching routine before – just did it whenever I remembered, before or after, and never noticed if I was lifting more or less – but I did stretch my back for a while the other day before pull-ups, and didn’t do as many as I’d hoped. Will pay more attention to this in the future.

Good stuff, finally people who know their shit. What I like to do before my warm up sets is to spend 2-3 mins on the cycle, just to get my heart rate up to about 130bpm. Nothing to intense but something to get my blood flowing.
Just out of curiosity, which one of you would win in a fight & when was the last time u fought? If I was to guess it’d be the brother on the left

…Iv’e torn my left heel, not the achilles but just above the ankles and right in the middle… it’s been four weeks now and I still can’t run… any advice?

stretching before workout is to prevent injury so what does after workout stretching do for you?

@Twinzzzzz My granpa is a chiropractic and says stretching should be done b4 lifting, but honestly, you should only stretch a little bit. Warming up is the most important ALWAYS warm up. It is twimmuscleworkouts opinion though.
Scooby on youtube also says stretching should be avoided. I am going to listen to the people who have results. But I would imagine Very Light Stretching is okay maybe.

You guys usually have good advice for the most part but I have to admit this time you guys are completely wrong. You shouldn’t advise your viewers not to stretch before you lift. You need to stretch lightly to prevent injury like muscle tears. Why do you think pro athletes stretch? Preventing injuries..

A great way to also warm up is to pick up sets of heavy weights or your normal weights and do 2 sets and 5 reps of whatever you doing that day. Like if im going to do incline benchpress,flat benchpress,shoulderpress,and dips that day; I would do 2 sets and 5 rep each without stoping till your done and thats it your warm up is done.

If anyone can answer this question a few days ago i did a leg workout wich was pritty intense for my standard, but holy shit my calves are fukn sore as shit. its been 3 days and i can barely walk still. maybe because i didnt stretch??? but i maybe “snapped some shit up” in my calves
